Fieldstone Veterinary Care opened its doors in New Fairfield, Connecticut, as a small animal general practice in January of 1996.     Fieldstone Veterinary Care FAQs

    There is no question too big or too small for our veterinary team.

    Fieldstone Veterinary Care recommends the following procedures: Distemper (DA2PP) - Vaccinate every 3 - 4 weeks until 16 weeks old; booster at 1 year, then every 3 years. Protects against Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Para-influenza, Parvovirus. Rabies - Give at 12 weeks; booster at 1 year, then every 3 years. Required by law; re-vaccinate after exposure. Lyme - Transmitted by ticks; vaccinate at 12 & 16 weeks, then yearly. Use tick prevention. Bordetella - For dogs in contact with others; vaccinate 1 week prior, then yearly. Deworming - All puppies should be dewormed; yearly fecal checks for adults. Heartworm - Spread by mosquitoes; keep on year-round prevention; test annually. Spay (female) - At ~6 months; prevents cancers, pyometra, unwanted litters. Neuter (male) - At ~6 months; prevents cancers, reduces roaming/marking.

    Fieldstone Veterinary Care can confirm that the PetDesk is available on IOS and Android devices (Mobile or Tablet).

    Fieldstone Veterinary Care recommends the following steps: - Open the PetDesk App on your phone or tablet - On the "Pets" tab, tap the gear at the top right - Tap on the box located at the top of the screen, stating your Name, Email, Address, and Phone Number - Tap your email and delete the old one - Enter your new email - Tap "Update" or "Save" at the bottom to save changes - This updates your email in the app and with PetDesk communications
